Although various programs are being implemented to empower the rural poor economically and socially through government and non-government development programs, the empowerment of the rural poor is at a very low level. Therefore, a group of successful entrepreneurs can be created at the divisional level by developing and directing Samurdhi Development Officers, Agricultural Research and Production Assistants, Rural Officers and Economic Development Officers who are engaged in field duties at the divisional level as coaches. It has the potential to reduce economic and social poverty.

The Rural Development Training and Research Institute has trained 30 field officers as trainers and directed them to the field to create eco-friendly entrepreneurs, develop home-based small entrepreneurs, build strong entrepreneurial associations, maximize the potential of rural entrepreneurship with the intervention of 210 low-income families. Efforts are being made to adapt support service systems and build the local economy.
