In accordance with Public Administration Circular 34/2025, the commencement of duties for the year 2026 at the Rural Development Training and Research Institute (RDTRI), Borella, was held on January 1, 2026.The ceremony was presided over by the Director of the Institute, Ms. Thilini Surangika Karasnagoda. The proceedings began within the institute premises with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the recital of the Public Service Affirmation (Oath) and the traditional boiling of milk, after which official duties for the New Year were formally initiated.
