In accordance with Public Administration Circular 34/2025, the commencement of duties for the year 2026 at the Rural Development Training and Research Institute (RDTRI), Borella, was held on January 1, 2026.The ceremony was presided over by the Director of the Institute, Ms. Thilini Surangika Karasnagoda. The proceedings began within the institute premises with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the recital of the Public Service Affirmation (Oath) and the traditional boiling of milk, after which official duties for the New Year were formally initiated.
The Rural Development Training and Research Institute was established on March 8, 1974. On the occasion of the institution completing 50 years, the director and staff will commemorate this day on 2024.03.08, marking a moment of gratitude for the institution............
The Liyashakthi Women's Entrepreneurship Exhibition organized by the Sri Lanka Women's Bureau on the occasion of International Women's Day, which falls on March 8th, was held at Diyatha Uyana. Here, in the booth reserved for institutions under the Ministry of Women, Children's Affairs and Social Empowerment, officers from the Rural Development Training and Research Institute will educate the beneficiaries about the services of the institution...........

- “Dharma Deshana” and Meditation Programs
- Tree Planting Programs for Environmental Conservation
- “Shramadana” Programs focused on environmental conservation and promoting good health habits
- Decorating the Institute Premises with Vesak baskets, lanterns, bulbs, flags, and more
